Yahoo! & Toyota present Memorial Day 2005

What began as Decoration Day in 1868, in honor of fallen Civil War soldiers, has evolved to become Memorial Day — an occasion to commemorate all Americans who died in military service to their country. We still decorate soldiers’ graves today, when a new generation of war dead has given Memorial Day a solemn new meaning for millions of Americans.
